General Biochar Systems (GBS) is a fully integrated biochar production company that also generates high quality Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) credits

Its first project, situated in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, was inaugurated in May 2023, and is strategically designed to refine AgriWaste streams from crops like corn, wheat, and sorghum.

Our driving purpose at GBS is to foster sustainable agricultural practices while simultaneously addressing the pressing challenges of climate change. We achieve this through the production and utilization of biochar derived from agricultural residues. In line with our commitment to innovation and sustainability, we are continuously advancing proprietary methodologies to enhance the efficiency, affordability, and scalability of biochar production.
